Volunteer with Pharmacist SupportPharmacist Support relies on volunteers to deliver its services to pharmacists in need all over Great Britain. All of our volunteers are pharmacists or retired pharmacists and because of this shared professional background are uniquely able to understand the specific pressures affecting pharmacists and their families. Volunteering provides you with the opportunity to help others.
Home Visiting
Home Visitors visit beneficiaries in their home all over Great Britain. The role of the Home Visitor is essential in ensuring that all applications for assistance are provided with a personal response and that the full needs of the applicant are assessed. They support beneficiaries by listening to their concerns and by identifying any needs and further assistance they may require.
Current Vacancies
We are currently looking to recruit a small number of Home Visitor volunteers in Scotland, central London and the South West of England. Volunteers must be able to commit to a minimum of 2 visits per year and be available to attend a yearly training session. Our next training day will be held on 11th March in Manchester.

Listening Friends
Listening Friends is a free and confidential helpline staffed by trained volunteer pharmacists who provide a listening ear to fellow pharmacists and pharmacy students struggling with stress, or simply in need of a sympathetic, non-judgemental person to talk to.
We are not currently recruiting Listening Friends volunteers, however should you wish to register your interest, please click on the APPLY NOW link below, complete the application form and we will hold your details on file. Any vacancies will be advertised on our website and in the PJ .
Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Check
Successful applicants will be required to submit a CRB application before beginning their volunteer work.
Expenses
Pharmacist Support will cover all travel expenses and training costs. All other reasonable expenses will be met.
