Pharmacist Support

Working for Pharmacists and their Families

Who do we support?

mother and son smilingAs long as you, your partner or your parent have been on the pharmacist’s register at some point you are eligible to apply for support. Our applicants include:

  • Pharmacists
  • Retired pharmacists
  • Undergraduate pharmacy students
  • Pre-registration pharmacists
  • Widows or widowers of pharmacists
  • Any member of a pharmacist’s family who is dependent on a pharmacist for financial support.

Listening Friends, the Pharmacist Health Support Programme and Specialist Advice Services are automatically made available to any pharmacist, retired pharmacist, pharmacy student or pre-registration pharmacist and their dependants.

Grants and other forms of financial assistance applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, eligibility being assessed based on the level of income against the level of outgoings. Therefore, your income need not be exceptionally low to apply, and you may still be eligible if you have savings. As a rule, most people who receive means-tested benefits, including pension credit, are automatically eligible for consideration.

We will try our best to support all grant applicants, but we recognise that Pharmacist Support may not be able to provide financial assistance in every case.
